It time again for this weeks Random thoughts brought to you by Andette (yay me!) We all have alts and who don't? Granted some of the new players to the game are working on the one toon they started with. But the majority of this guild we have alts, boy do we ever. But when is it too much? Should there be a alt limit? There are times where i have all my list on WRA filled with no more toon spaces. I just recently transfered Cryistaa from Mahni to me so my alt count went up again. Do i feel streached? No i feel that i am providing the guild with what it needs at a short notice basis. Though if i do get kicked from guild of leave they will have alot of my toons to kick. I look at it this way, ive played for about 5 years and having this many toons has shown me that i can enjoy anyway that i want. Question to the guild, What is your favorite alt or favorite way to play with your main or alt. For me any class that can heal is right up there in my book even though that my paladin lost her healing spec and my druid just got to 85.Well im off again to heal the next run. On the off subject its near the love your significant other day (aka the V work that i cant spell) Please take a moment to tell that someone that you care, honor, and love them because without them putting up with you, you might not be what you are today. And to my sigificant other I love you Mahni.
Andette!

I love you to hunny :D As for my favorite alt is Raelyna. I'm down to Raelyna and my bank alt Reymi....I'm the type that likes to focus on one or two toons instead of many.
I LOOOOOVE alts! My only complaint about them is the fact that I'm restricted to 10 toons per server. I really love Darkwind and I would prefer to play on Wyrmrest. The unfortunate result is that, when I get the itch to create something new, I end up deleting one of my less active alts in favor of the new one. Recently, I remade my Dwarf as a Paladin. She is now: Paladin 2, Dwarf 5. Were I able to explore more on one server I would still retain most of my creations.
WoW is full of options, all of which are fun. Alts allow you to explore other classes, specs and races that you may never have known you would love until you tried. It's an awesome freedom and it allows you to better understand OTHER mains as well. No one likes soemone who's only been a Prot Pally thinking they know everything about Druid Heals but we LOVE them if they have an 85 Resto Drood and they're helping us out with a new toon.
All in all I think alts allow us to become well rounded and to better understand our fellow players.
Sincerely,
The die hard Gnome who began as a Troll.
I love you too hunny
But on a more serious note, I LOVE punching things in the face. I guess I just like to stand toe to toe with my enemy, beating the living crap out of them with my bear hands. For me tanking > melee depending on my mood. That being said, my favorite classes at the moment are Warrior than Rogue. I do love all tanking and melee classes, just those are my favorite.
Recently I have been learning to branch out, into the void of classes I never touch. I just started a balance druid. I actually will admit they are pretty fun, much in part to their Lunar/Solar phases. My personal problem with ranged DPS and healing is I feel like I am just standing there casting spells. (Stabby has ADD and therefore must be running around like a chicken with his head cut off at all times). However, I have found, while playing a balance druid that is hard to think about. There is just so much going on, and it is easy for Stabby to get distracted by all the shiny procs!
Ask any of the people in the guild who have had me heal for them and they will tell you I am a notch above the rest. That being said, I CAN'T stand it. My hat is off to all of the amazing healers in this guild, I don't know how you do it. But looking toward the future, the one thing that might save healing for me is the monk class. Their real saving grace for me is SUPER SPEED, while healing! Your encouraged to fly all over the screen Kung Fu-ing all you friends in the face with your heals!
Okay so what is my favorite alt/main class? I believe it is going to be the MONK class. I am super excited not just because it is my new favorite Drunk Tank/Kung Fu melee roles, but it will also open the world of healing to ADD peeps like me once again!!!
I agree about the 10 toons per server thing, super annoying considering Blizzard isn't planning on letting us send BoA gear from one sever to another one. Good news on this however, Blizzard strongly hinted at the server cap being removed next expansion. All your toons can now be on Wyrmrest Accord
I like alts, I wish I had more time to play them. My problem is I have limited play time and there's just SO MUCH to do. I've honestly not found one class/spec/role in the game I just don't like and I can definitely see me having one of everything at some point.
aww yeah alts, I like my main warlock a lot, and my second warlock too.. thinking about a third...
Am I doing this right?
No Kul you are not
I have a few level 85 warriors and rogues. So I have no room to talk... Then again I pretty much have at least one of every class to 85, which is really depressing.... I need a life.
Awww. Poor Stabby.
My Name is Jaxsun and I am an altaholic. With that being said I currently have 4 toons on WRA, 3 in Darkwind and 1 as a semi bank alt DK. Discipline Priest Class has become my favorite but Jaxsun is a new journey for me being the first Warrior. As i get more familiar with the guild and playing alliance I will definately dabble deeper into classes I havent given much effort in leveling or caring past 40 something. well thats about it i guess this guild is really great and glad i came across it.
Hi All! Ava here. I have a ton of alts spread over 3 servers. I've played just about every class there is too. Hunter, lock, mage, Druid, war, rogue, shammy, pally, priest. I have to say my top alts are (in random order): Prot Pally - who doesn't like a easy as pie tank? Mage- insta-port anywhere and oh yeah Mad Deeps. Lock- fear, fear, fear, and watch you die from like 3 spells :). and of course Me, err um, Blood DK :D. Some of the alts I started were b/c there was a need for a specific role in the guild I was in. However that usually meant I was playing a toon I didn't necessarily like. Atm a lot of the alts I have I just use them for their professions (alch, bs, mine, herb, tailor, enchant) for $$ or for crafting things for my main or other alts, so I just don't spend the time gearing them for raids, etc.
That being said I think the first toon I ever rolled was a Nelf hunter. She was okay but then I decided that Draenei looked super cool so I rolled a retadin (she's currently on Shadow Council- along w/ almost all my other Draenei alts- priest, shammy, mage, hunter, war, and my 1st horde toon Tauren shammy - lol still a lvl 10 for 4 years hahaha). When I started playing WoW I was really scared of tanking so all my toons were dps and healing was like - what NO! I am not gonna be blamed for a wipe (so Kudos to the Healy types that keep Ava up and going- I love you all and think you do a fantastic job!) So after about a year I got tired of Alliance and rolled a Belf Lock. She was my first for a ton of stuff : 1st Loremaster (old school too- pre cata easiness), 1st to get a ton of achievements, 1st 85, 1st raid toon, 1st Raid Leader toon, 1st Class leader for lock (if you had a lock question I was the person to see) etc etc. Sadly I've stopped playing her. Mainly b/c I finally got tired of having 30-40 min wait times for 'Roics. So I started Ava (Wheee!) and am totally loving the DK oh and the tanking bit too. That being said I sometimes worry (a lot) about my tanking....(did I do this pull right, should i have popped a defensive cd there (note to self: do it next time), do i have all the aggro, i.e. : get back over here you stupid ****, the healer said what about my tanking? .... Am i really that bad/terrible of a tank?... Gah, must read/re-read forums etc for tanking tips, etc) and I'm a bit concerned about the new talent specs for Blood Dk's for MoP... But that being said I am really glad to have found a great group of ppl to share the game with and am really proud to wear the "Darkwind" name.
PS- Like Stabby I have several 85 toons (Horde: Troll resto/ele shammy, Belf prot pally, Belf lock, Undead mage) [Alliance: Draenei prot/ret pally, blood/frost dk (you know who :), Nelf mage, soon to be Worgen feral druid]- Gah .... I admit *raises hand* I'm an altaholic *runs away laughing*
