Guild Rules
The 8 o'clock rule
- Before 8:00PM server time (Pacific time) we ask that all members please abstain from using foul or inappropriate language in vent or guild chat. The reason we do this is because there are a few minors in this guild as well as several parents and we do not want to risk having a youngster hearing/reading something inappropriate. We understand slip-ups happen from time to time, just try to be mindful of what you say and save the dirty stuff for late night. If you violate the 8 o'clock rule you will be corrected, repeat offenses will result in being banned from Mumble or removed from the guild. If you are corrected for a violation please do not argue or make excuses, "people should use headphones" or "that is what the mature language filter is for" are not appropriate discussion points.
Inclusion
- If you are going to run a random dungeon, raid or battleground please ask in guild if other want to join you. We should always be doing our best to include other guild members, if you want to do group activities without the guild then you might want to reconsider being in a guild.
- If you need help with anything please ask, these people are your guildmates, friends and teammates and are almost always willing to help (within reason) if you are willing to ask.
- When a new member joins the guild please say hello and do your best to make them feel like part of the guild. Think about how you want to be treated when you join a guild. Also, try to greet other members when they login, a simple "Hello" could make a guildie's day.
Self-motivation/Initiative
- If you want to do something you should make your best effort to do it, do not make excuses, get results. If you want to run a dungeon, PvP, raid, or anything else then do it. Do not sit around and wait for an invite, get out there and seize the day (and bring your guildies along too)!
Respect/Etiquette
- All members of Darkwind should always be respectful of others. While this is mainly a rule focused on guildmates it should also include anyone we come into contact with, be it another guild/player on Wyrmrest Accord, or even a pug in a dungeon. The Golden Rule still applies in WoW "treat others as you would like to be treated."
- Don't be a jackass. What we mean by this is please do not act inappropriate, do not be disrespectful to random players in dungeons, do not be disruptive to others playing on our realm, and do not harass other players. This includes annoyances such as spamming in chat, typing in all caps, ASCII art, asking for gold/items/favors repeatedly or otherwise being obnoxious. This goes for anyone you interact with, guildmates and non-guildies alike, and if you have to be warned more than twice for this behavior you will be removed from Darkwind.
Roleplaying
- Darkwind is a non-RP guild meaning that we do not require active roleplay as a guild. Even though we are non-RP we have a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding griefing or harassment of roleplayers. Wyrmrest Accord is a Roleplaying server and should be respected as such. If you are caught disrespecting roleplayers in any way you will be removed from Darkwind.
Mumble
- Darkwind has a Mumble server for use by any guild members, it is used for dungeons, raids, PvP, officer meetings and general discussion. Any and all guild members are encourage to use this feature. Any policy we have regarding guild chat (respect, inclusion, 8 o'clock rule) all apply to Mumble as well.
- Mumble login information can be found by reading the Guild Information located in the Info tab of the Guild UI. Never give out the Mumble information to anyone who is not a member of Darkwind. Mumble info has been known to change from time to time, including passwords, so check the Guild Info if you have login issues.
- Please try to use the appropriate channels while in Mumble. If you are running a dungeon with a guild group please use a Dungeon channel, for example.
Guild Vault
- Darkwind has a 8-tab guild vault that is available to all members ranked Disciple and up (anyone who isn't a Neophyte) and has an authenticator. The vault allows members to share useful items like gear, crafting mats, glyphs, etc. Some ranks have the ability to make repairs from the guild vault but this is limited and we ask members who use this feature to try and contribute back when they can.
- Things that should be vendored/auctioned and not placed in the guild vault
- Food and Drinks purchasable from vendors
- Bandages
- Poor quality (gray) items, aka Vendor Trash
- Alcohol (the bank is not a bar)
- Reagents (Fish Oil, Light feathers, Shiny Fish Scales, candles, seeds, etc.)
- Coal, flux, thread, vials and other vendor bought crafting materials
- Common quality gear (except tabards/shirts or similar items)
- The guild vault has 8 tabs each with a different level range or purpose, please put items into the correct tabs. If you cannot put items in the tab it belongs, put it in the Free for All tab until an officer can move it for you. If you're concerned that you don't want items being taken from there, just mail them to an officer instead. If you are unsure where to put something please ask our Guild Vault Manager (Deecoi) or any other officer for assistance.
